Woman’s body found in Surrey

At approximately 7:00 p.m on Thursday November 8th, 2012, the Surrey RCMP responded to a call of a deceased female having been located in the basement suite of a residence in the 8400 block of 148A Street, Surrey, BC. Police secured the residence and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was called in to investigate. Early indication is this homicide is not related to gang activity. It is expected that crime scene investigators will be at the residence for the next couple of days.

“We are in the very early stages of this investigation and we are working to find out what happened inside the residence.” says Corporal Adam MacIntosh.

Neighbours are saying the woman was probably in her twenties.

The home on 148A Street near 84th Avenue is next to Maple Green elementary school.
