Two vehicles involved in shooting incidents in Surrey, cars shot at in Delta on Saturday

AT about 1:10 p.m. on Saturday, Surrey R.C.M.P. received a number of 911 calls from the area of 139th Street and 88th Avenue in Surrey about a white Nissan following a black Mercedes with both vehicles speeding and cutting in and out of traffic.  Both vehicles were last seen travelling southbound on 136th Street from 88th Avenue.  The calls advised that the occupants of the white Nissan were firing shots at the black Mercedes, and additional 911 calls also advised that shots may have also come from the black Mercedes.  The exact number of shots is unknown.
No reports were received of any injuries, but at least one other vehicle was struck by a bullet.  It is unknown if the white Nissan or the black Mercedes were hit.
Surrey RCMP attended to the area to examine the scene as well as canvas the area.  Some evidence was recovered at the scene confirming that shots had been fired.
About 25 minutes later a call was received reporting that a  white Nissan was following behind a black Mercedes with both speeding and cutting in and out of traffic.  The vehicles were reported last seen heading eastbound on the Fraser Highway at 155th Street.  It is unknown if the vehicles in the second incident, are the same ones in the first incident, but due to the close time frame and the closeness to the area of the original incident they may be related.
Surrey R.C.M.P. are asking that anyone who may have witnessed either of these incidents call the Surrey R.C.M.P at 604-599-0502 or CrimeStoppers.

THEN on late Saturday night there was a shooting in Delta’s Sunshine Hills neighbourhood in the area of Scott and Wade roads. A number of cars were hit, but they were unoccupied and there were no injuries reported. Delta police are investigating.
