Western Community College Job Fair on November 7

WESTERN Community College is a privately owned, designated college in BC, offering more than 40 career focused programs. The college is offering programs in the health care, hospitality, accounting, business, pharmacy, education, legal studies, ESL and office administration. The college provides a dynamic, collaborative, and participatory learning environment.

Western Community College has always been an active participant in community events and has the desire to give back to the community through all its possible means. As a part of its community outreach programs, the college is organising a Job Fair at its Surrey Campus. The college is inviting employers from hospitality, pharmacy, accounting and health care fields at the job fair.

Many employers, including Fraser Health, Loblaw Pharmacy, Nurse Next Door, Dufferin Care Center, Sienna Seniors Village, have confirmed their presence at the job fair. The job fair gives an opportunity to the employers to interview candidates and choose from the many eligible candidates, to fulfil the growing need of their organisation, in the area of Surrey, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, Langley, Burnaby, White rock, etc.   

The Job Fair is being organised for a third year in a row and each year, the number of employers and candidates is increasing. The college is extending an invitation to all the eligible candidates, whether or not they are Western Community College graduates, to come and participate in the event. Graduates from health care assistant programs and Internationally Educated Nurses, who have their BC Care Aide Registry number must come to get various job options in facilities and home support groups. The candidates are expected to register by calling the college at 604-594-3500 or by emailing at info@westerncommunitycollege.ca. The candidates will be expected to bring in their resumes with them for this day.
