Vehicles shot up in Richmond, targeted person known to police uncooperative

SHORTLY before midnight on Monday (October 8), Richmond RCMP responded to the 7000-block of Parry Street for multiple reports of shots being fired.
Investigators located two vehicles parked at a residence in the area with damage consistent with gunfire. An individual known to police was also located, but has not been cooperative with authorities. He is uninjured. Police believe that the victim was deliberately targeted.
Investigators have been on scene since early morning combing through evidence along with the assistance of the Integrated Forensic Identification Service.
“We are very concerned with this overt display of violence and the blatant disregard for public safety,” said Cpl. Dennis Hwang. “Our General Investigation Section has been deployed and is actively investigating this matter. We urge the community to remain vigilant and ask that you report any suspicious persons or vehicles to police immediately.”
