Vehicle bursts into flames in Surrey accident

ON Saturday (December 30), at approximately 2:56 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 88th Avenue and King George Boulevard in Newton where one vehicle was on fire.
The occupants of the vehicle that was on fire had been safely removed from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital for observation.

Initial police investigation found that a minor collision had occurred at 80th Avenue and King George Boulevard with one vehicle fleeing the scene.
That vehicle continued north on King George Boulevard and struck two other vehicles near 88th Avenue, one of which burst into flames.
The driver was detained at scene and alcohol is thought to be a factor.
The Surrey RCMP spoke to witnesses to try and confirm what exactly happened.
