VANCOUVER City Hall is closed to the public today (Tuesday, May 21) due to a power outage and the building is being evacuated, according to an announcement by the City.

The outage only affects the main building on 12th Avenue. Power at the Development and Building Services location at Cambie and 10th and the Crossroads building on Broadway is not impacted.

This means there is no access to Revenue Services today, however customers can still access building permits and licensing services.

The cause of the outage is being investigated and BC Hydro is also on scene. It is expected that City Hall will have power and be open for regular business hours on Wednesday.
