Vancouver-based band Mausiki to donate half of all proceeds from May 1 show for Nepal earthquake relief work

HEADLINES MAUS 2VANCOUVER-BASED band Mausiki , which is raising funds to help single-parent families living in poverty, wil be donating half of all proceeds from their Friday, May 1 concert to a relief project in Nepal.

The show is at Joe’s Apartment on 919 Granville Street in Vancouver.

Mausiki is an up-and-coming indie music project with a unique sound and diverse fan base. Mausiki comprises Ashar Kazi: lead vocals and guitar; Luke Kuzyk: steel drums, synth, and guitar; Patrick Sharp: drums; and Jeremy Gatten: bass, keys and vocals.

The group is currently raising money to play a charity concert for Give The Needy – an organization that provides grants to South Asian families in need.

Mausiki’s Indiegogo campaign has managed to raise just over $2,000 in its first week.
