Two homicides in Vancouver

VANCOUVER Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered in a vehicle on Saturday evening.

The victim, who has yet to be identified, was found by a passerby in the parking lot of Marine Gateway Cineplex near SW Marine Drive and Cambie Street just before 8:30 p.m. on January 18.

No arrests have been made. However, VPD investigators do not believe there is a risk to the public.

Vancouver Police are also investigating the suspicious death of a 45-year-old Vancouver female who was found dead inside her residence early Sunday morning.

Just after 1:30 a.m. on January 19, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at 112 Water Street from paramedics who were unsuccessful in resuscitating the victim.

No arrests have been made. VPD investigators do not believe there is a risk to the public.
