TransLink service levels (update)

DUE to earlier snowfall, strong winds, and cold temperatures causing poor road conditions, TransLink advises to avoid all non-essential travel.

The following is an update of conditions for all its services:

Expo/Millennium:

All stations are currently open. TransLink is experiencing delays and reductions in train frequencies due to switch and door issues caused by the freezing temperatures. Trains are also moving at a slower speed.

Canada Line:

Reduction in train frequency. De-icing trains will be running in preparation for the afternoon peak.

Bus:

Some buses are running with snow socks in Burnaby and North Vancouver; however, there are various route cancellations and delays due to weather impacts, please check our alerts and Twitter page for your route delays/detours.

SeaBus:

Regular service.

HandyDART:

HandyDART is currently running on essential service levels, meaning all trips other than those deemed essential will be rescheduled. Customers requiring rides home will be picked up as soon as possible. Riders are encouraged to consult the Trip Planner (‪http://tripplanning.translink.ca), or contact customer information desk (‪604-953-3333) for trip planning advice.

Staff and Transit Police are on site to assist customers at stations and exchanges. TransLink’s priority is to ensure transit services continue to operate, even if they are operating more slowly or with reduced capacity.
