Three South Asians arrested in series of stick fights in Brampton, arrest warrants for six others

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged three men, and issued arrest warrants for six additional men, in relation to a series of stick fights in Brampton.  This follows an investigation into a series of stick fights which took place in a number of locations throughout Brampton between December 2017 and June 2018.

The incidents, which were captured on video and circulated throughout social media and were covered by news agencies, created wide public concern.  The ongoing investigation revealed that a number of individuals are alleged to have been involved in several of these incidents.  Peel Police want to thank the members of the community and the media who assisted in helping identify those involved. However, the investigation is not complete and police are asking for their continued support in helping locate the outstanding individuals.

 

Warrants have been issued for:

  1. Parminder Singh “Dhali,” 30: wanted on numerous counts of assault, assault with weapon, extortion, break and enter, weapon dangerous, utter death threats, and harassing phone calls charges.
  2. Jatinder Singh “Cheema,” 25: wanted on assault, assault with a weapon, extortion, weapon dangerous, break and enter, utter death threats charges.
  3. Vishavjeet Singh “Vishav,” 21: wanted on assault, assault with a weapon, and break and enter charges.

4. Opinderjeet Sandhu “Opinder,” 20: wanted on assault, assault with a weapon, and utter threats charges.

  1. Amritpal Singh “Kamboj,” 21: wanted on assault, assault with a weapon, break and enter, and weapon dangerous charges.
  2. Raja Waraich “Raja,” 37: wanted on utter death threats, and intimidation charges.

 

The following individuals have been arrested:

  1. Gurpreet Singh, 31, of Brampton was arrested and charged for numerous counts of assault, assault with a weapon, break and enter, and weapon dangerous offences. He appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton, for a bail hearing on August 27.
  2. Lovepreet Singh, 19, of Brampton was arrested and charged for numerous counts of assault, assault with a weapon, break and enter, and weapon dangerous offences. He appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton for a bail hearing on September 7.
  3. Arpinder Gill, 20, of Brampton was arrested and charged for numerous counts of assault, assault with a weapon, break and enter, and weapon dangerous offences. He appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton for a bail hearing on September 12.
