Tejinder Sahota among 16 new Vancouver Police recruits sworn in

 TEJINDER Sahota was one of the 16 new Vancouver Police recruits that were sworn in on Thursday at the VPD Headquarters.             

Tejinder was raised in Vancouver, graduated from Gladstone Secondary School and received the Governor General’s Award for being the top Canadian history student.

After high school, Tejinder attended the University of British Columbia and graduated with a bachelor of science degree with a minor in commerce.

Tejinder has worked various jobs, including at the Pacific National Exhibition, a lab assistant at UBC, and as an inside sales representative for a medical research equipment firm.

Tejinder coached basketball at Vancouver Technical Secondary School and is the head coach at Cariboo Hill Secondary School.  He mentors students at the UBC Tri-Mentoring Science Program, and volunteers at the Collingwood Community Policing Centre.

Tejinder is fluent in Punjabi.
