The vehicle was subsequently involved in two collisions. Following the second collision, the driver of the vehicle fled on foot near Scott Road and 100th Avenue, and was arrested nearby with the assistance of the Integrated Police Dog Services.

Two people were injured in the collisions and taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The suspect remains in custody at this time.

Roads in the area will be affected until approximately 5 p.m. So drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

Surrey RCMP have notified the Independent Investigations Office of British Columbia of the incident and they are currently reviewing to determine if it meets their threshold for investigation.
