Several people shot in North Vancouver, RCMP to issue press release soon (update)

Rock Habib-Joumaa, 25, of North Vancouver shot dead

UPDATE: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday

North Vancouver RCMP told The VOICE at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday that they would be issuing a press release on the reported shooting in an hour’s time.

 

Several people have reportedly been shot in North Vancouver, according to a Global BC report on Tuesday night. One woman has been rushed to hospital. Another person was also reportedly hurt.

There were reports of gunshots at about 8:15 p.m. in a parkade in the 600-block of Seylynn Crescent near Keith Road and Mountain Highway. A large police force and a K-9 unit were at a North Vancouver residential building after the shooting.

Two men were reportedly taken into custody by police.
