Serious motor vehicle collision in Surrey

SURREY RCMP are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred in the Guildford area earlier this morning.

On April 12 at approximately 6 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 144th Street and 104th Avenue. The collision occurred between an eastbound Ford F-250 truck and a westbound Toyota Corolla. The driver of the Corolla was taken to hospital with serious, potentially life-altering injuries.

Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is investigating with assistance from the Integrated Collision Analyst and Reconstruction Services (ICARS). Roads in the area will be closed for some time as officers continue to investigate.

The investigation into the collision is in its early stages. Investigators are seeking witnesses who observed the collision, or who observed the vehicles prior to the collision, to contact the Surrey RCMP. Investigators are also seeking any available dash-cam video.
