RCMP seek witnesses and video for hit and run investigation

SURREY RCMP are asking for assistance from the public to advance the investigation into an alleged dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and hit and run collision that occurred on April 8.

At approximately 8:23 p.m. on April 8, a grey or silver coloured Acura TL was reported to be driving erratically travelling eastbound on Fraser Highway at 188th Avenue. Minutes later, at 8:26 p.m., a vehicle matching the description was allegedly involved in a hit and run collision at Fraser Highway at 176th Street.

Moments after the hit and run collision, a second collision occurred in the 16600-block of 64th Avenue. This collision involved a grey Acura TL which investigators believe is the same vehicle. The driver was arrested at the scene and later released. Charges have not been laid as the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators are seeking witnesses, specifically drivers, who may been in the area around this time and have dash cam footage of the collision or of the suspect’s driving behaviour in advance of the collisions.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
