THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is investigating a homicide in Burnaby. Just before 3 a.m. on Thursday (April 16), a uniformed officer on routine patrol came across a fatally injured man at the intersection of Moscrop and Smith in Burnaby. Foul play is suspected in the man’s death.

IHIT took over custody of the investigation and the area around Moscrop and Smith was closed to traffic for a number of hours.

“We are hoping to speak with anyone who was out and about in the area of Moscrop in the hours leading up to the discovery of this man,” said IHIT Sgt. Stephanie Ashton.
