Police bow-wow charms kids at hospital

IMG_2955_1Kamloops: The Pediatric Ward at Royal Inland Hospital had two special furry visitors last week from the RCMP. Police Service Dog Whiskey and his young side kick Kilo (puppy in training), were found hanging out with kids and staff members spreading some holiday cheer.

Whiskey handed out stuffed puppies that bore a striking resemblance to him in his younger days. Whiskey hoped the stuffed puppies would bring some happiness and comfort to the kids who were at the hospital during the holidays.

FullSizeRender_5Whiskey plans to visit the hospital again in the new year.  Whiskey would like to thank the staff at Royal Inland Hospital for their support as well as the BC Civil Forfeiture Program who generously donated the stuffed puppies.

Whiskey is a yellow Labrador who specializes in narcotics detection and has been serving with the RCMP in Kamloops and surrounding area for the past eight years. Whiskey has been instrumental in detecting and removing millions of dollars worth of contraband from the area.  Whiskey would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season.
