PICS launches new employment programme for older workers

If you’re 55 or older and you want to get back into the job market then PICS Society has the program for you. Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society launches a new employment program called Job Options BC: Urban Older Workers (55+). This program partners with local community and business employers to generate job placements for participants.

To qualify for this program, you must be:

• 55 years old or order
• Unemployed
• Non – EI receivers
• Out of School
• Looking for a Job
• PR or Citizens
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Living in Surrey, White Rock or Delta

At this program, you will:

• Increase your employment skills
• Get valuable job search experience
• Receive access to training allowances
