Peel Regional Police seek public help in identifying robbery suspects, including South Asian

e4972438-b767-4da8-a4da-1100a012077aMISSISSAUGA: Investigators from Peel Regional Police’s  Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for a robbery in Mississauga.

On Saturday, June 27 at about 2:13 a.m., the victim was in the area of Park Towers Avenue in Mississauga. The suspects approached the victim and made a demand for money, one suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspects then fled on foot and the victim did not sustain any injuries.

It is believed that the suspects were responsible for another robbery an hour prior to this incident, however, they were unsuccessful.

Suspect one is described as male,South Asian, 5’10” – 6’ tall, medium build, clean shaven with dark short hair, with a scar on the top of his head. The suspect was last seen wearing a long sleeve orange shirt and dark jeans. He was armed with a black handgun.

There is no description for the second suspect.

Surveillance video in the immediate area has captured the image of a vehicle, which appears to be a four-door Honda Civic with a black bumper.

Investigators have also obtained a surveillance photo of one of the suspects. (see photo)

Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information about this matter, to call them at (905) 453-2121, Ext. 3410.  Anonymous information may also be submitted to Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.  Information leading to the identification of any of the suspects may qualify for a cash reward.
