IHIT identifies Surrey murder victim as David Hennessey

THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has identified Wednesday’s murder victim as 27-year-old David Hennessey of Surrey.

On August 12, just after 5:30 p.m., Surrey RCMP were called to the 13000-block of Hanson Road after receiving reports of an altercation at a residence. Shortly after arriving, police located Hennessey suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds.  He was rushed to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.

Another male found at scene was also treated for injuries at hospital and was subsequently arrested for the alleged murder of Hennessey.

A number of witnesses at scene are being interviewed, and the home involved remains cordoned off as the investigation continues.
