RCMP Sgt. Janelle Shoihet told The VOICE on Tuesday: “The Air India investigation is ongoing and currently undertaken by the E Division Integrated National Security Enforcement Team.”
She added: “The RCMP is still seeking any assistance from members of the public, especially the members of the Sikh community who may have information that will advance the investigation. While the terrorist attack on the Air India flight took place over 30 years ago, we remain committed to holding those responsible accountable.”
Shoihet said: “Our commitment to the families of Air India victims has not changed.”
Regarding the Air India Memorial, former MLA Dave Hayer noted: “This memorial will not only remember the 329 victims, including 82 children of this terrible terrorist bombing, but all their family members and two baggage handlers in Narita, Japan.

“The Air India Memorial in Ceperley Park was unveiled in 2007 to commemorate the worst aviation tragedies in Canadian history, and to stand as a monument against terrorism.”
