In addition, the forum will also address the failure of Surrey RCMP to deal with “this everyday open violence” on Surrey streets.

“As you know this issue has created fear in our community,” the press statement by Ashiana Khan reads.

Meanwhile, Surrey RCMP told The VOICE: “We have heard from the community that some people believe that these issues relate to international students, but at this time we are still investigating this particular incident and looking to identify those people. So until that identification is made, we wouldn’t be able to determine that any particular group was responsible for this incident.”

Surrey RCMP added: “If anyone does know these people … if you know that this is an international student and you know their name, then we are asking you to come forward and contact us.”
