VANCOUVER detectives are investigating a Downtown Eastside homicide following an overnight stabbing on East Hastings Street on Tuesday.

Around 3:30 a.m., police were called to a stabbing on East Hastings Street between Main Street and Columbia Street. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a serious stab wound, collapsed on the ground in front of 139 East Hastings Street. He was taken to hospital by paramedics, where he died a short time later.

No arrests have been made in the case and the investigation is ongoing.
