ON Tuesday (October 22), at 7:25 p.m., Abbotsford Police officers responded to the 31700 -block of South Fraser Way for reports of shots fired.

A news report says the shooting took place at a gas station and the victim or a companion drove the damaged vehicle to the hospital. There was also a burned-out vehicle found at another location.

Investigators identified a male in his early 20s, believed to be the victim of the shooting. This male is currently receiving medical treatment.

The events that unfolded are currently being investigated. South Fraser Way is closed between Hilltout Street and Janzen Street and to the north to Union Avenue.
