Male injured in Surrey shooting

AT approximately 2:12 a.m. on Friday, January 3, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 15900-block of 26th Avenue in the Morgan Creek neighbourhood. Police located evidence that confirmed shots had been fired. 

RCMP officers located one male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information.The investigation is still in its early stages and officers will be in the area for an undetermined period of time.
