LRT signs in Surrey are coming down, says Safe Surrey Coalition

THE Safe Surrey Coalition announced on Friday that the LRT signs and at least one other portion of the City of Surrey’s communication plan were deemed to be non-compliant with BC’s Election Act, they have been removed.

Safe Surrey Coalition mayoral hopeful Doug McCallum said: “The reason Surrey has reached this low point is because of Surrey First’s dismal performance in public engagement. Both Tom Gill and Bruce Hayne were unable to make improvements the citizens expect.

“LRT, Hawthorne Park, the Campbell Heights Development Proposal, Rosemary Heights, and the recent application to remove land from the ALR in Port Kells are all examples of the deficiencies in the Gill, Bruce, Surrey First public engagement policy.”
