“Sales successes are continuing at Kia Canada as the year progresses, and Kia’s recognition also continues to expand,” said Robert Staffieri, Director of Marketing, Kia Canada Inc. “Last month was very exciting for Kia, as we were acknowledged as a ‘Top 100 Best Global Brand’ by Interbrand, while locally the Rio sub-compact, available in sedan and 5-Door variants, was named onto the Canadian Automotive Jury’s 2013 ‘Best of the Best Finalist’ list, which awards a select number of top new vehicle offerings to Canadians for the year.”
In the month of October, Kia was recognized as a ‘Top 100 Best Global Brand’ according to a study released by Interbrand, the world’s largest brand consultancy agency. Kia’s brand value is estimated at $4.1 billion USD, which firmly positions the automaker in the 87th position on the list.
Kia Canada was also a recipient of a Canadian Automotive Jury (CAJ) acknowledgment as the Rio was selected to grace the Canadian Automotive Jury’s 2013 ‘Best of the Best Finalist’ list. The Jury selects 12 vehicles annually that reflect a wide variety of segments providing a comprehensive list of new cars for sale to Canadians that they believe to be the best on the market. The Rio has previously been named Motoring TV’s “2012 Best Small Car under $21,000,” while globally it has been the recipient of numerous other accolades, including a red dot design award for elite product design and an Automotive Brand Contest (ABC) Design Award.
