Jitendra Panchal, 45, facing charge of sexual assault, Toronto Police say there could be more victims

THE Toronto Police Service announced Tuesday that they had made an arrest in a sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that on Thursday, December 4, a man was canvassing for sales, door-to-door, at 365 Bay Mills Road entered a residence to solicit business. He spoke to a 34-year-old woman and during the conversation he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Jitendra Panchal, 45, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with sexual assault and being unlawfully in a dwelling.

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Thursday, January 22.

Police believe there may be other victims.

A sexual assault is any form of unwanted sexual contact. It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
