FEDERAL NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh on Saturday was officially nominated as the NDP candidate for Burnaby South in the upcoming byelection.

Jagmeet Singh tweeted: “People in Burnaby South & all of Canada are facing real struggles while the Liberal Govt sit on their hands & wait. We can’t afford to wait. We’re determined to make people’s lives better. So today, I’m excited to accept the nomination as the NDP candidate in Burnaby South.

“With a wage gap that’s widening, skyrocketing housing prices & health care not covering everyone the way it should – it’s time to demand better for Burnaby South & all of Canada. It’s time to stop the empty talk & get things done that people need.”
