Integrated Homicide Investigation Team say Abdul Sarwari’s death suspicious

 

THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said on Wednesday that they are investigating the suspicious death of 23-year-old Abdul Sarwari.

On Monday (September 15) just after 10:30 p.m., the Burnaby RCMP attended a residence in the 3900 block of Carrigan Court and located a dead male outside of the building. The initial call to police described the incident as a home invasion.  Police found no other individuals  inside the residence.

The victim was identified as Abdul Sarwari, who resided within the apartment complex on Carrigan Court.

“The victim’s cause of death has not been confirmed and the death is considered suspicious.  IHIT currently has carriage of this investigation and are looking to speak with any witnesses who may have been in the area during this time,” said IHIT Staff-Sgt. Jennifer Pound.

An autopsy is scheduled in the coming days to confirm the victim’s cause of death.
