ON Wednesday (June 3) at about 6:45 p.m., members of the New Westminster Police Department responded to a complaint of a male and female fighting in the 1500-block of 8th Avenue. Police located a deceased female and took a male into custody.
At this stage of the investigation, details of the occurrence are limited. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called out and will assume conduct of the investigation with the assistance of the NWPD Major Crime Unit.
As the investigation progresses, updates will be provided by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
