Enhanced safety features for 2018 provide segment-leading standard safety technology
For the 2018 model year, Genesis adds an exciting Sport variant to its already popular G80 model, featuring a powerful new 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine plus unique sport performance upgrades. The 2018 G80 Sport was revealed at the 2017 Montreal International Auto Show.
The 2018 Genesis G80 Sport will have an all-inclusive, guaranteed price of $62,000. As with all Genesis vehicles, this set price includes all freight and delivery fees as well as an unparalleled suite of services including Genesis at Home valet service, complimentary scheduled maintenance, map updates and more, all for 5 years or 100,000 km.
The G80 Sport asserts its presence with a striking exterior and distinctive copper styling elements to visually differentiate it from the rest of the enhanced 2018 Genesis G80 model line-up. Unique 19-inch wheels, genuine carbon fibre interior trim, Nappa leather sport seats and smaller-diameter steering wheel are just some of the exclusive design features that set apart the G80 Sport.
Underneath its attractive exterior, the Sport’s 3.3-litre gasoline direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6 engine boasts 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Supported by an upgraded adaptive suspension system, the G80 Sport delivers excellent driving dynamics with improved body motion control, agility and larger front and rear brakes.
The G80 Sport also receives comprehensive tech and safety features such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, LED headlights, a multi-view camera system, and adds Pedestrian Detection to its Autonomous Emergency Braking system. In Canada, all vehicles are equipped with HTRAC all-wheel drive.
