Free Transit travel on B.C. Day

TRANSLINK says it’s offering a free day of transit on Monday, August 4 (B.C. Day) “to show our appreciation for customers.”

“Whether you travel by bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus or HandyDart, we’ve got you covered! Take public transit to work, run errands or check out one of the many attractions Metro Vancouver has to offer!” adds Translink.

This is an attempt to mollify irate customers after several screw-ups in the past few weeks.

Buses will run regular Sunday hours.

SkyTrain Expo, Millennium and Canada lines will run on their Sunday schedules. There will be no power rail replacement work.

SeaBus will start their 15-minute service at 9:15 a.m. and will add a third vessel at 10:20 a.m. which will operate until crowds are manageable.

West Coast Express train and TrainBus service will not operate.
