FORMER NDP MLA Jagrup Brar will have his own two-hour radio talk show on Radio India starting this Sunday (October 5).

The Jagrup Brar Talk Show, a call-in show, will air every Sunday from 8 to 10 a.m. and will focus on local, national and international politics as well as people’s issues.

The show promises to put all political parties and politicians on the hot seat in order to get real answers to issues that have been bothering people for a long time, states a press release.

“As an MLA, I received tremendous opportunities to serve the people of BC and to gain knowledge about the complex political and social issues. I would now like to use my experience to serve people once again, this time as a radio host,” said Brar.

“Listeners of Radio India will have a host who has a unique insider’s perspective on important issues such as crime, Health, education, social justice, environment and the economy.  This experience can now be shared with our listeners and I am very excited that Mr. Brar has decided to join Radio India,” said Sukhjit Mangat, Operations Manager of Radio India.

The program will truly be a people’s choice program discussing issues that listeners want to discuss at the same time informing and educating people about important events taking place locally and in the world, he added.

Radio India says it is committed to serving the large and vibrant South Asian community. It says it has over 400,000 listeners worldwide (Indians, Pakistanis, Fijians, Ismailis, Sri Lankans, and Bangladeshis). Radio India states it reaches different parts of British Columbia and Washington state via 1600 AM and that its listenership on this station is 178,000.
