FOLLOW-UP update: Man released without charges in weapons-complaint incident in Surrey

SURREY RCMP told The VOICE on Wednesday that the man who taken into custody on Monday night in the 17600-block of 60th Avenue where police had attended for a weapons complaint has been released without charges pending further investigation.

The investigation is ongoing, Sgt. Chad Greig said: “A search warrant was executed on the associated residence. A number of airsoft pellet  guns were located and seized.”

Traffic was affected in the immediate area and motorists had to take an alternate route on Monday because of the heavy police presence.

Officers canvassed the neighbourhood and spoke with witnesses to obtain further information regarding this incident.
