First South Asian Women’s Network Hosts Diwali Celebration

The Be Your Own Best Friend (BYOBF) Network, Metro Vancouver’s first South Asian networking group for women, celebrates their inner light on Tuesday, November 20 from 7pm – 9pm at Copper Chimney Restaurant in downtown Vancouver.

As South Asian women in Vancouver and surrounding communities face significant changes in the world of business, they are discovering networking with other South Asian women to be one of the most valuable marketing tools for strengthening business contacts and connections.

The BYOBF Network was founded in March 2012 by Sukhi Ghuman, former television host and marketing specialist, and Manpreet Dhillon, business coach and certified Akashic Records Consultant. Both Sukhi and Manpreet see the need to create a platform for South Asian women to come together and celebrate the successes of women in their community.

Participants will be taught how to play the card game, and they will not be waging with real money, rather playing for fun using chips.

The BYOBF Network hosts monthly networking events and workshops on various topics their members are interested in learning more about. Where many networking groups are about numbers, BYOBF Network is about creating intimate, quality, meaningful relationships.
