SURREY RCMP are currently on scene in the 13700 block of 96th Avenue for a report of a female victim suffering from injuries.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Surrey RCMP located a 20-year-old female suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to her leg. She was taken to local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators with the Surrey RCMP’s General Investigations Unit were advised and officers are conducting further inquiries to determine the circumstances of this incident. It is still unclear at which location the victim was allegedly shot as limited information is being provided.

This investigation is still in its very early stages and very few details are known at this time.
