ON September 5, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 40th Avenue and 176th Street. One driver succumbed to their injuries. The other driver was transported to hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

A road closure was in effect for 176th Street between the intersection of Highway 10 and 32nd Avenue, and on 40th Avenue between 168th Street and 176th Street.

The investigation into the collision is in its early stages, but impairment from alcohol or drugs is not believed to be a factor.
