Fatal motor vehicle collision in Richmond

SHORTLY after 2 p.m on Tuesday, November 19, frontline officers from the Richmond RCMP responded to the area of No. 4 Road and Tomicki Avenue for reports of a single vehicle collision.

A 2000-era Cadillac sedan had struck a hydro pole and sustained massive damage. The lone occupant driver, a 83-year old man from Richmond, was rushed to hospital. The man later succumbed to his injuries.

The Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) has assumed conduct of the investigation.

The Richmond RCMP is asking for the community’s assistance in the investigation.
