Police say speed does not appear to be a factor in this crash. The investigation, led by the VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit, is ongoing.

Traffic has been diverted on West Hastings Street, between Abbott and Carall Streets, as investigators continue to work at the scene.

This is Vancouver’s third pedestrian fatality in 2019.
