BC High School Basketball Championships – 16 quarterfinal games were played Thursday night at the Langley Events Center. Below are the box scores and tonight’s (Friday March 13)  “final four” matches in all tiers.

In the “AAAA” tier Thursday night  quarterfinal the results were:

Terry Fox 70 Oak Bay 50
Sir Winston Churchill 68 Lord Tweedsmuir 51
Yale 88 Semiahmoo 76
Kelowna 96 Burnaby South

FINAL FOUR
( tonight Friday March 13)
7:27 p.m. — Yale vs. Kelowna
8:45 p.m. — Terry Fox vs. Sir Winston ChurchillThe Terry Fox Ravens came to play they had no problems unseeding the  No. 1 seeded Oak Bay with a resounding  70-50 win.Terry Fox will now duke it out with the defending B.C. champion Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs.

FINAL FOUR ( tonight Friday March 13)

7 p.m. — Southridge vs. Delview

8:45 p.m. — St. Michaels University School vs. Collingwood

The #1 seeded St. Michaels University School Blue Jags have had a very easy ride  into the final four. SMUS is headed to the Final Four on Thursday following its 71-45 win over Chilliwack’s GW Graham Grizzlies. SMUS next faces West Vancouver’s Collingwood Cavaliers, a 59-55 winner over Kamloops’ Valleyview Vikes.

North Delta’s Delview Raiders will be clashing with rivals Surrey’s Southridge Storm Friday night. Southridge, got off to a very good start, but needed a even bigger effort in the 4th quarter to beat Vernon’s Clarence Fulton Maroons 85-78 on Thursday. Delview, ranked #2 in BC when it was upset by Langley Christian in the Fraser Valley playoffs on home turf,  Thursday night they had to show that the win by Langley Christian did not set them back they came out with an impressive 81-66 win. Delview’s Arshdeep Saran scored 17 and was name player of the game
