SURREY RCMP said on Friday they are investigating a sexual assault which occurred in Newton and requested public assistance to help identify the suspect.
Just before 5:30 a.m. on September 19, a woman was groped by an unknown man as she was walking southbound on 124th Street, between 78th Avenue and 80th Avenue. The suspect jogged past the woman, touching her as he passed by. He then ran to a nearby vehicle and fled the area.

The suspect is described as a South Asian male, 25-30 years old, 5’10” tall, wearing black jogging pants and a black hoody with the hood up over his head.

The suspect vehicle is a dark coloured sedan. The make and model of the vehicle has not been determined at this time. (See photo)
