Burnaby shooting victim Aladdin Ramadan, 20, had no criminal record

THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced Thursday that Aladdin Ramadan, 20, who was shot dead Wednesday just before 10:30 p.m. near Lougheed Highway and Rosser Avenue in Burnaby did not possess a criminal record.

IHIT Staff-Sgt. Jennifer Pound said: “Although IHIT investigators are attempting to determine a motive, we believe it to be a targeted shooting.”

IHIT took over the investigation from Burnaby RCMP and said it would be processing the scene throughout the day on Thursday.

Pound said: “Following the shooting, three males fled the scene in a smaller, silver or blue compact vehicle, southbound on Rosser Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was described as a Persian male with a short haircut, shaved on the side with sideburns.  He appeared clean-cut and was wearing dark clothing.  The other two suspects were also wearing dark clothing and had large builds.  They were described as over 6 feet tall and muscular.”
