AUGUST 9 is a perfect day to relax with a great book. Reading does not have an age barrier and it’s always important for you to broaden your knowledge. Being lost in a book under the shade of a tree and picturing a movie in your head is a great way to pass time. In fact, I have also made it a habit of reading before going to sleep as it increases your memory and relaxes the brain. Reading before bed even helps you to have a better sleep, as it doesn’t produce any sort of stress on your mind.

August 9 is not only a day to enjoy literature but to produce it as well. Have fun by creating a contest in your house. Some ideas are to write as much as you can under a minute or even create the best sounding limerick as well. Throw it back to the days of Shakespeare by watching a play at a local theatre or even share an idea to create a book. I’ve always loved the game where you start a sentence and it continues from person to person making their own sentences. In the end, you discover the paragraph that you have all come up with and enjoy a laugh with it as well.

I myself have always been a huge fan of the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling and can tell you that I have read the books countless times over and over again. It’s because when you read a book the first time, you miss a few things here and there. Once you read it again, you have a totally new outlook on the series and it really makes you think how you’re going to see the next book differently.

As many know, I myself write articles for various events that are going on in the community or just fun-filled events that are coming up, too.

Reading is a great way to improve your ability of grasping and understanding terms, which helps in school as well. Even if you read one hour a day, you would have accumulated seven hours of reading a week, which is a great achievement. However, I am positive that once you get into the book you are reading, you won’t be able to put it down.

Please share this fabulous and awesome day with people around you. Use today’s vast amount of social media to reach across to people and let them know that on August 9, it’s Book Lover’s Day.
