ARSHPREET Chahal of Vancouver was the First Runner-up at the Miss Teen Petite International pageant which was hosted in El Salvador on March 3.

The 16-year-old, Grade 11 student was Miss Teen Canada Petite 2015/16.

Chahal told The VOICE that she started participating in such events “as a way to expand my knowledge regarding the diverse cultures we have within Canada, and to create more pathways for my future. All the obstacles I encountered and was able to conquer during my journey with this international pageant truly made me grow as a young woman.”

Chahal added: “I am thankful for all the support I received from my family and friends, the ones who supported me before and during the pageant. I also cannot thank my sponsors enough: The Knot Club, and Shoppers Drug Mart. Without them, I could not have gotten to where I am today.”
