UNITED Conservative Leader Jason Kenney in a statement following the nomination of Jasraj Singh Hallan as the Party’s candidate in Calgary-McCall for the 2019 provincial election said on Saturday that he would like to congratulate him on winning this “hotly contested race.”

He pointed out: “Today more than 2,700 United Conservative members in Calgary-McCall voted to choose their candidate for the next election from amongst three great contestants.”

Kenney added: “Born in Dubai, Jasraj came to Canada as a small child and has built a successful home building business right here in Calgary. Together with his wife, Jasraj is raising two young children in the Northeast where they are dedicated community volunteers. Jasraj will make an excellent addition our strong roster of candidates and I am pleased to welcome him to the United Conservative team.

“I would also like to thank Usman Mahmood, JB Sidhu, and their teams for their participation in the democratic process and dedication to our movement.”
