7 charges approved against accused in Vancouver International Airport luggage thefts

RICHMOND RCMP YVR Detachment announced on Wednesday that the BC Prosecution Service has approved seven charges against Miriam Tremblay, 26, of Vancouver.

Tremblay was arrested by RCMP on August 2 in their ongoing investigation into luggage thefts at Vancouver International Airport.
She has been charged with seven counts of theft under $5,000.
The charges originated from alleged luggage carousel thefts that occurred between July 12 and August 2 at the YVR Domestic Terminal Building.
“Richmond RCMP YVR Detachment is committed to ensuring the safety and security of travellers to Vancouver International Airport,” said Sgt. Ross Lundie, Operations NCO. “Our officers, especially those from our Airport Crime Unit, have been steadfast in gathering evidence to move this case forward.”
