3 South Asians arrested by Ontario’s Peel Police for stolen vehicle

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police on Monday arrested Jaskaran Sandhu, Jagseer Sidhu, and Arjun Arjun, who were in possession of a stolen vehicle.

On Monday, April 13, at approximately 11:50 p.m., police came across a stolen vehicle that was travelling southbound on Main Street at Bovaird Drive in Brampton. Uniform patrol officers conducted a strategic stop of the stolen vehicle in the area of Main Street and English Street.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen on February 21 in Brampton. A search of the vehicle revealed bank cards and other documents believed to be stolen. As a result police arrested the three men.

Jaskaran Sandhu, 36, from Brampton was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of probation.

Jagseer Sidhu, 30, from Brampton, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

Arjun Arjun, 23, no fixed address was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and fail to comply with release order.

During the strategic stop executed by police, the driver, Sandhu, sustained minor injuries. He was transported to hospital and later released. All three men were held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Tuesday, April 14.
