2018 Ford Escape Titanium 4WD:  All the Family Needs!

With it svelte, athletic sporty good looks and a very high spec, the 2019 Ford Escape has much to offer as a Compact sport utility. The new driver-assist technologies, and connectivity, Ford’s new SYNC 3 infotainment system is the major interior upgrade and is even easier to use with its menus for audio, climate, phone, navigation, apps and vehicle settings more intuitive and easier to access. There are two new efficient EcoBoost engines — a 1.5L four-cylinder and the 2.0L. Both engines feature auto start/stop technology as standard equipment. A choice of two wheel or four wheel drive is available.

We tested the fully loaded 2019 Titanium model, equipped with: 2.0 liter Ecoboost engine: six speed SelectShift Auto transmission, All Wheel Drive, 19 inch – inch alloy wheels with a luster nickel finish, and leather trimmed seats, Options included: Panoramic vista roof, Tow package,   Ford Safe and Smart package offering lane keeping system, adaptable cruise control, blind spot info system ad comprising HID headlights, blind spot detection, and automatic parking system.  Standard safety equipment in all Escape trims, meanwhile, includes 4-wheel antilock brakes (ABS), traction and stability control, front side-mounted airbags, front and rear head airbags, and a post-collision safety system. The exclusive to Ford MyKey system, is very innovative and allows owners to do such things such as setting limits or mute for the audio system, limit the top speed and have an adjustable warning chime for all seatbelts.

The Escape’s comfortable and spacious interior is a major attraction as well, with excellent premium materials and well finished soft touch plastics throughout the doors and dash.   The Escape has   971 litres behind the 60/40 second row seats, and a handy 1,920 litres with the rear seats folded flat.  .The Escape when properly equipped can tow: 3,500 lbs. with the 2.0L EcoBoost and the Class II Trailer Tow Package as equipped. Fuel economy is rated at: 10.9/7.9/9.6 L/100km (city/hwy/comb). On road habits are exemplary. The Escape handles well and is enjoyable to drive. To sum up, the Ford Escape is fine family hauler that can be outfitted from a decent standard base spec all the way to an uber luxury and high technology equipped CUV that will satisfy every need. With its excellent combination of looks, equipment, fit and finish, the Ford Escape will not disappoint.
