The Guru Gobind Singh wrestlers earned a number of medals and respected positions at the BC High School Provincial Championships over the weekend in Penticton, British Columbia.

8 wrestlers won from Guru Gobind Singh

74kg- Mandeep Gill – Gold

66kg- Baldeep Gill – Silver

70kg- Shawn Randhawa – Silver

84kg- Manveer Gill – Silver

63kg- Ranjot Sandhar – Bronze

57kg- Amrit Sund – 5th place

66kg- Gordy Gill – 5th Place

130kg- Gulraj Binning – 5th Place

Manny Gill of Abbotsford Collegiate was predictably brilliant en route to gold in the 74 kg division. The Grade 12 athlete beat Brodie McKenzie of Maple Ridge to lock up his fourth consecutive B.C. high school title.

Congratulations to all of the wrestlers, they have now qualified to compete at the 2012 Cadet/Juvenile National Championships on April 12-15 in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
